On Thursday December 20th, 2018, BIAT held a successful launching event for the Observatory/Value Chain Information system. It was launched under the Private Sector Development Programme - Supporting the Tripoli Furniture Value Chain project which is funded by the European Union, implemented by Expertise France, in partnership with BIAT.
The Observatory/Value Chain Information System is a core part of the project, and contains a directory with key information for all the participants of the project from implementing partners, cluster stakeholders, and SMEs, furniture industry map, market information, wood library, and news & events.
The event included a keynote speech by Dr. Fawaz Hamidi, Director of BIAT, followed by an overview of the PSD-Programme by Mr. Rami ElSayegh, Project Coordinator. Finally, a detailed explanation of the observatory and its contents was given by Lynn El Chabib, Business Information Officer.
