Analysis of the Lebanese Furniture Distribution Channels and Most Suitable Mechanisms To Access Them

Abstract:

Upon request from Tripoli’s Chamber of Commerce, several international partners have come forth with technical and financial support to address the problems of Tripoli’s carpentry cluster. Among them, Expertise France, which was entrusted by the European Union to implement a two year Private Sector Development (PSD) program has chosen, within the scope of that program, to focus on enhancing the productivity and competitiveness of North Lebanon’s wood sector. This study was aimed at uncovering the challenges of securing business linkages between the Tripolian furniture producers and the different distribution channels: Architects/ Interior Designers; Furniture Designers; Contractors; and Showrooms.
